Sayadaw U Jotika Bangkok Talk On March 25

Featured Replies

DMG are announcing that Sayadaw U Jotika, one of the most highly respected of the Burmese monks today, will be speaking at Bodhgaya Hall:

Wednesday 25th March

Bodhgaya Hall, Amarin Tower, level 22

2pm - 4 pm

Talk will be in English with Thai translation

This is Sayadaw’s second talk in Thailand. He is a hugely respected master from Burma, whose Dhamma is lyrical, simple and precise. There are several books of his teachings, notably the superb Map of the Journey and the book Snow in the Summer which is available online. This is a very special opportunity to meet with one of the great meditation masters of our era, and all of you are encouraged to attend if possible.

Details at Littlebang.

Thank for the download link. I downloaded his book, and I'm going through it now. He seems to be a very articulate and educated person. Definately someone I want to read more from.

I'm afraid I can't be in Bangkok for his talks. He speaks so clearly and directly of his experience and philosophy, I want to hear more.

:D

Thanks Camerata, I downloaded the book, Snow in the Summer, really nice reading. I would have liked to met this monk...

I picked up a bound copy of Snow in Summer in Myanmar around 10 years ago. I've since re-read it three or four times, always inspiring. I wonder where the Sayadaw is going next? I couldn't attend the program last week as it was schedule during the day on a weekday.

The English parts of the talk are available at the above website :o
