if you are moving from your account to your account then there are no restrictions just the transfer fees. (about 10-15 usd)

You might find that amounts over 20,000 USD will require proof of where the money originated, keep it under that and no probs.

You may also incur fees at the receiving bank

Having the personal IBAN number for your UK account is a must

the charges are mostly 300 bath from the thai side(kasikorn) and 500 on the european side(this is valid for belgium), no matter the amount transefered.

thailand doesn't use the european bic/iban system but the swift code instead.

Get the SWIFT code for your bank in the UK, take that with your UK account number and send by wire transfer, bank to bank. Takes less than a day and has a minimal fee. They may hold the funds in uk for 72 hours, until cleared. Don't leave Thailand until you check your funds are available in the UK, use your ATM.

Cheers

Thailand may not use it internally but if they can't identify the receiving account the money will bounce back and you will be charged twice
