maybe haad salad or surrounding area but were not tied to any area in particular.

2000-6000 baht ..

wed like a swimming pool which overlooks the beach

pretty important that we can look out from out room onto the ocean and walk down into it if we choose

Many places you can specifically request a beach front bungalow. What time of year are you coming? Certain times of the year, Haad Salad and Haad Yao have very low tides.

high life in had yao has an infinity pool on the mountain overlooking the beach

Yes, but OP wants to be able to walk into the ocean, this time of year that rules out Haad Yao. Thong Nai Pan is probably a better bet if the OP wants to swim in the ocean as well as a pool.

6,000 baht upper limit? Wow, you can write your own ticket, my friend.

You won't get the Lincoln bedroom, but you'll be in the upper percentile.

Though that is just my clearly biased response - you'll find rooms that fit your description on almost every beach on Koh Phangan.
