April 13, 200916 yr I'm travelling by Thai Airways from London Heathrow to Koh Samui in June. Bags checked all the way but it concerns me I only have a 55 min gap between flights - Thai have assured me this will be ok - arrive late afternoon on a Saturday. My question is is this transfer do-able?

No - Thai air from London to Bangkok and same same Bangkok to Samui This should be fine then as you can checkin on the Bangkok Samui leg in London and have the boarding pass for that. So put your luggage all the way through and you just connect in Bangkok. You clear the customs near the in-transit desk. You have enough time, but don't hang about. It is clearly signposted...
