I dont work in Thailand but my father did for almost 5 years. He was already an e.v.p. for Samsung in Korea, when he received his assignment to work in Bangkok. I recently asked him about working in Thailand. His thoughts, and I am sure many others will agree is that, unless you have a highly specialized skill or are an established executive, the chances of working in Thailand for the big ducats are pretty slim. It doesnt make any sense for companies to hire a western person with their corresponding western salary when there are so many Thai people who are qualified for the same jobs for alot less compensation and without having to go through the visa/wp hurdles.

But who knows, maybe you have a skill that no one in Thailand has, that would definitely give you a competitive advantage over 99% of the farangs who have the same question.
