Hi all, i was wondering, since the airport taxis costs 800 1 day to the borders in maesai, does anyone carpool?

im due a flight BKK-CEI on next month and i was hoping for someone to share the costs of a cab down to maesai

Get to the Phahon Yothin Road and board a bus going to Maesaei, they come every 30min or so. The fare is 30-40 baht.

As Bastian said, get a motorbike taxi from the airport, and wait for the bus on Phahonyothin Road

Wait for the bus at the airport T-junction on the super highway. No need to go all the way into town. If you can get the moto rider to take you there only.

Btw. i never saw motobike taxis at the airport, but that could be me.

If you're flying into Chiang Rai and looking for people to share a car you could inquire about fellow travelers on the other forums.

Us local guys usually have our set routines and fixed dates for our border runs which we're mostly reluctant to change.

Other than that, the bus from the highway is the best bet.
