After arriving at BKK I'm looking to get to Koh Samui/Phangan either by bus or train. What are the options other than taxi?

Is there an airport express bus that stops near the seatran/lomprayah bus stops or Hualamphong train station?

Any things I need to watch out for in order to avoid being scammed?

Thanks

Hi you can either get to Kao san Rd and pick up the bus using either Lomprayah or Seatran but keep all valubles with you and not in your luggage as things have been known to go missing on the journey. If going by train then you have the option of going to Chumphon and then takng the ferry via Koh Tao, KPG then Samui or go further south to Surat Thani then go direct to samui or KPG.

For taxis simply go up a floor to departures and walk out to where the taxs are droipping off customer. I have never had a problem getting them to use the meter back into the city. The cost to the station is around 200 baht. You an also fly if cost is not a factor. Takes 45 mins instead of 12-14 hours Enjoy whatever you decide. :o

Thanks for the info. 200 baht to get a taxi from the airport to the bus station sounds pretty reasonable. Would it be a similar fare for when i return from the bus station to the airport?

Would like to fly but the prices are quite expensive right now.
