Yes, I know this is the Bangkok forum but lots of people go to Samet from Bangers.....

I was wondering if anybody knows if the is a bakery on Samet? I want to get a birthday cake made for a party we're having there in a couple of weekend's time.

Also, can anybody recommend a reliable and not too pricey minibus hire place that will take a group of 16 people??

Jep's bungalow / restaurant has a bakery that does birthday cakes....... pretty restaurant right on the beach!!!

I know about minivan (not more than 9 people) it can costs around 5000 baht from bangkok, I don't remember the name of the company, but I found it on the web.

Most resorts there will have cake. But the one in front of Jebs does have some nice selection.

As for Vans, you can try victory monument. They have minivans that make the run down to the pier.

For 16 people you'll need 2 minivans. I think the going rate is B200 per pserson, capacity 10 person. So go and tell them you want 2 minivans by yourself. B4000.
