Vietnamese Dong In Bangkok

Featured Replies

If you can answer this then Im impressed!

I´ve just been to Vietnam, I was late for my flight back to Thailand and forgot to change my Vietnamese Dong to Thai bath at Hanoi airport. Back in Bangkok I tried the exchange counter at the airport but they dont take Dong and said "try city".

I tried some exchange offices today but noone likes Dong ..

Do you know if there is a exchange place in Bangkok that will accept them?? :)

And if not I guess I have to book another trip to Hanoi to spend my money.. but hey I love that city :D

I don't think you'll find anywhere in Bangkok that will exchange Dong. Maybe try the Vietnamese Embassy in Wireless Road. Someone there might take pity on you.

Good luck.

Unless things have changed recently, I don't think that you will find anywhere to change it.

The Dong cannot be exchanged anywhere outside of Vietnam.

There is a Vietnamese bar-girl working at Kings in Pat - Pong, she will exchange it for you.... and Not baht an eyelid......

I have seen an operation selling kip, dong and riel on Khao san rd whether they buy also is a different matter. And this was an unofficial looking operation so what rate you'd get is anyones guess.
