Wheelchair Sports In Pattaya ?

Featured Replies

Hi

Thanks to all who answered previous post.

I am a wheelchair user planning to move to Pattaya later this year with wife and daughter from Scotland. I'm an ex GB wheelchair basketball player and also represented Scotland at Table Tennis. Is there any sports clubs for wheelchair users in Pattaya or clubs that can accommodate me. Although I'm in a wheelchair I'm still pretty fit and independent. :o

Not sure there are wheelchair clubs per se, but the redemptorist school of the disabled (or something like that, one of the schools started by the late Father Brennan) has a few teams churning out high level wheelchair athletes! They sure won't mind being joined by a farang, some volunteering in their needs by a disabled farang athlete will be appreciated and will make your social life much more full.

Not to mention to keep your physical well being on level!

As you can see on the picture they do have a basketball field in front of the school and you can be sure they use it as well. That school churns out some of the most positive minded disabled people I've ever seen!

Good Luck

Good luck getting around Pattaya in general.

It is not a very wheelchair friendly city, nor is Thailand as a country.
