I arrive to Thailand June 24 (Irish citzen). I have retrun ticket for December 24. (6 months).

Since I will be traveling to Vietnam/Cambodia etc during the 6 months , can I simply arrive to Thailand and get a 30 day visa (Tourist visa) without actual proof of onwards flight before that.....I hope to make plans while there to travel to the other countries.

THANKS

The airline can deny you boarding the flight unless you have a ticket out of the country within 30 days if you do not have a visa.

You should get a tourist visa before departing or buy an onward ticket out to one of your destinations mentioned.

To get a tourist visa contact the consulate in Dublin. Website: http://www.thaiconsulateireland.com/usefulcontacts.htm

Tourist visas are issued by the number of entries you want. Each entry will give you 60 days and can be extended for 30 days at immigration (1900) baht.

You should be aware that if you enter the country by a land border crossing you will only get 15 days.
