most flatbed scanners will do that, if not scan in 2 halfs

and have it joined in photoshop,

have seen scanners at Tesco-lotus or big C malls, the rubber stamp shops etc.

if they cant save as PDF then save as TIFF (300 dpi)

and do a PDF in photoshop yourself ?

Yes I know... but I was trying to avoid buying a scanner! most copiers in UK these days are MDFs but I cant find one here so far - must be some but hoping someone will say 'they have one at so and so'

One of the few places in Chiang Mai to get large copies done is across the road ( to the right ) of the 3 kings statues. I searched for ages as i needed to copy full sized building plans and they have all the equipment in there to do large copies. Not sure about scanning but that should answer your copying questions.

It sounds as if you only want to make a one time electronic copy of personal documents. If that is true, try a friend who has a multi-function printer/scanner and/or go to the computer club and see if someone there won't help you out.

Last resort: All the computer places have good ones right around 2500 baht and even cheaper sometimes. Buy one and you will have the capability to do this yourself. Once you start doing it, you might find you have way more documents to "document" than you thought of at first.
