I recently purchased an all cotton bed spread and comforter at Big C for 599 Baht. The item must have been 6 to 12 months old because the plastic covering was somewhat dirty and showed signs of wear. The spread was in perfect condition.

I saw the same product today in the same Big C in nice new packaging for 1099 Baht.

Talk about inflation.

It is quite a while since I have been in a 4 star hotel in Pattaya.

Last night I met a friend in nthe Siam Bayview, and we went to the hotel bar for a chat.

I had a diet Coke, and he had a glass of iced tea.

The bill?

212 Baht.

It may well be even longer before I go again. thank God I didn't buy a beer.

BTW we were there for over an hour, and we were the only ones there on a Friday night at peak time. I wonder why?

I think the Marriott was Bt240++ or Bt282 for a beer last time I looked.
