i'm about to book my flight from cxm to bkk and am wondering how much of a difference it makes which airport you fly into. nok air has a flight for under 600 baht. would flying into don mueang be any less convenient than the main airport if i'm staying near bumrungrad hospital? for traffic considerations, i would be arriving around 7pm.

I would think that the travel time from Don Muang at that time would be pretty quick. I can only relate from long time ago, but, it would be right off the exit from the expressway and you are there. Don't know about travelling from Swampypoon to Soi 1 as I live in Minburi now.

oops. i just realized that this didn't include taxes, fees and surcharges, which brought it up to 1800! yikes! quite a difference!

I would go for Don Muang by a head.

DMK is actually a bit better for there than BKK. Not a big difference, maybe 10 mins, but the hospital is near the off ramp that taxis from both airports would use.
