You can go with Q-Blocks,but we'e just found a great ew product called EKOBLOK. Made in Thailand and 10% less in price, but:

1. Better K-Value (ThermalInsulation)

2. Better Sound-Insulation charactaristics

3. Far better structural value (single-storey dwellings: no Post/Beam required !)

4. Can cut with normal wood-saw

5. Less Water-Absorption (means no cracks in the rendering)

6. Can be laid with standard mortar no need for expensive adgesion-additives)

7. Eco-Responsible in production and content

All around a better product - and much less expensive in erms of product and installation.

We used these Ekobloks for our house. Must admit very good sound and heat insulation. Not sure about the claim on reduced cracking as we certainly have some. On the whole very happy with the product.
