I have a friend who has enquired about the possibility of obtaining one of these International/UN "Special Licences" ?

I already have one of these, obtained some yrs ago, but understand that many of the "Issuers" have now stopped providing this service !

This is not for use in Thailand , but overseas only, for emergencies !

Can anyone assist , perhaps Khao San Rd is still doing this ?

Any Thoughts ?

You'll find 'em but in this climate you'd need a lot of courage to use one. The cops are mad, but not that stupid.

Fingers off, these things are fakes or worse, the paper used is real, i.e. stolen.

Just imagine one of the guys in brown, inspeting such a licence and requesting in addition your UN-ID?

And btw, usually, you drive a blue licence plate, that comes with your being a UN-member.
