I see how to 'clear' recent contacts - but only gives the option to clear 'all'.

Anybody know how to just clear a few off the list and not the whole list ?

There is an App called mobilelog - previously ilog - that allows you to do this as well as say delete single smses. It is a Cydia App.

You might also consider installing 'hide a caller' which provides aliases for callers that only you have access to. Obviously with this App there is little chance that a contact name will appear that you might wish to delete. Again I believe it is only available under Cydia.

Callclear is another cydia app that does this. You need to jailbreak your iPhone.
