U]Certificate of Entitlement of Right of Abode.

A few weeks ago I posted an enquiry refering to a "Stamp" in a Thai National Passport(K.W.)verifying her status of Right of Abode-Entitlement to stay in the UK as a Citizen (Uk-EU) and was having the runaround.

Following 27 odd emails and numerous telephone calls between the Home Office,Croydon and the IND in Liverpool things were getting a bit "tedious" (for want of a better....)and although it would appear straight forward :D:D I suppose these processes mirrors life itself.

Anyway to cut the story short I now have in our possession the said "stamp-chop" or wot-ever and a "nice"letter from the Minister (only :D )making it clear that K W can go through the UK-EU.Passports channels at any British immigration control point "without the need to obtain leave from..etc" and it only cost £20. :D

I am sure that under normal circumstances I may have sussed out the "modis oper-andi"of getting to this stage but up until now its has been a pain in the derrier.

We now have the "thing"and as far as I am concerned its all due to the timely, positive and very well informed professional advice from our one member with whom I have no hesitation in praising to the highest-...Scouser. :D

I am never usually left (a bit big headed ..sorry)on the lurch but...on this one. :o:D

Thanks for all for the EXCELLENT info in Thai Visa ....worth it weight in Gold and to our Mr Scouser...Many Many Thanks you are a Diamond......and I owe you one or six. :D

regards R.

Stickyme,

There should be a particular form to be completed which should be available from the Immigration and Nationality Directorate website. I've just tried looking for you, but, as usual, the IND website is overloaded.

Alternatively, when you are next in Thailand, you could apply for the RoA vignette at the embassy.

Cheers,

Scouse.

Stickyme,

The traffic on the IND website has trailed off a bit, so it's now accessible.

As well as speaking to Rinrada's contact, you may wish to download the application form and check out the general information?

Cheers,

Scouse.
