Man Killed Near Phuket Airport

Featured Replies

At about midday today a westerner was killed by a large vehicle on the dual carriageway in front of Phuket airport, right next to the gasoline station. Witnesses stated that it appeared he wanted to die.

RIP

Maybe he was on medication or Drugs, maybe he was confused who knows ,RIP

Which is why I just reported briefly what was known at the time - plus there is a very large blood stain on the road with spray outline of the vehicle.

We will have to see what is reported through the usual channels, but as many Thai residents would know, there is much speculation in the local community here, But I for one am not prepared to offer any theories, no doubt there are families and friends involved and respect must be shown.

My condolences to the family.

The 10PM news (ch5?) last night carried a story on this along with a story of another westerner found dead in Phang Nga.

LeungKen, do you have more details? Was the man a resident or visiting tourist? (There are not that many farang living in the area and, as an ex-resident, I am obviously very concerned).

Simon
