:) It would be interesting to hear something from someone, who has been there. But I guess not many, probably no one of the 300.000 read this thread. :D

Too young to be at Woodstock, but got to see most of the bands over the years except for Hendrix and Joplin. I'm a closet hippie. Instead of being a punker, I went retro.

I was too young too. Some kind of second generation, 10 years after. But people at that time still stared at us like we were from Mars. The combination of jeans and leather jackets or so together with long hair was clearly too much to handle for the average passer-by in public.

No wonder that punks were the ultimate enemies of the bourgeois at that times.

Watched a programme about this recently, someone made a comment along the lines of, if you remember Woodstock, you werent there.

Few years ago i watched an interview with Nicky Hopkins, great pianist(Kinks,Stones,Quicksilver etc.)He had indeed a rather disenchanted view of the whole thing.

Sure, for a musician, who performed there, it must be really frustrating, that all the people want to know, during all the years since then, is: how was Woodstock...

Being in the Navy stationed in Sydney Australia, Woodstock was a bit far away for a weekend leave.

Went to Meadows Technicolour Fair I&II in Adelaide, Mulwalla in NSW and various concerts around the place.

Last one was a few years ago in Adelaide, Arlo Guthrie at Norwood Town Hall. I guess I am a Hippie after all.
