No Footbridges

Featured Replies

I've noticed there are no footbridges for the humble species, pedestrius vulnerablus, in the Banglampoo area.

I assumed it's because it's near the Grand Palace so royal motorcades would frequently pass making it necessary to get the folks off the bridges, but Lan Luang road, still in Rattanakosin island, does have some, whilst Samsen road is bereft until you get to St Gabriel school.

I wonder if it's benign neglect or actually a policy to ban footbridges in Banglampoo.

I'm just going to take a guess at this since I'm not really very familiar with the area. Could it be that the sidewalks are too narrow for footbridges to be put in? If that is not the case I vote for benign neglect...
