If Staying At My Tgf House, Does She Need To Notify Immigration?

Referring to the address requirement when staying in Thailand, if staying at an hotel they notify immigration of my presence in their establishment. However, if staying in a private residence, is there a requirement for the owner to do the same? Or, am I required to let them know?
