Hello I am looking for a water treatment system for my house, was looking at mazuma and want to treat the water going in to the house to be able to drink it. I went to a dealer and he said I needed a S-27 and a S29 mazuma filter system and I asked did he not need to test the water, he said no. and what about bacteria chlorine. I live in Bang bau thong are and am on city water there.

Any advice or info u can give would be thankfull

Yes, I use Mazuma and by and large have found them to be good. I live In Bangkok, and had it installed for my fridge's water and ice-making facilities. They change the filter every 3 months, and after year 1 I signed an annual contract for the same service. I find them reliable, but when I have had any (minor) problem they fix it quite easily. Be sure all the fittings are tightly connected, because after initial installation they weren't and it caused flooding in the kitchen; quite possibly it was my contractor and not their fitter. Have not had a problem since, but I always have them check the fittings every time they install a new filter.

Go for a 5 or 6 stage filter system that uses Reverse Osmosis. These seem to be better than the UV ones.

But the water filtered with reverse osmosis is actually not so healty as most of the good minerals we need from the water are also filtered away. Also some smaller sized bacterias that will be killed with UV will not be filtered thoroughly with reverse osmosis.

Water fitering, especially for drinking water, is not as simple as it looks and it the water is too pure it is actually not healthy to drink.
