Exporting Car To Malaysia

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I would like to get some information on what type of documents are needed if the Thais want to bring their transport into Malaysia (Their own car & the car that is still under finance) and also the procedures. Anywhere resource I can get the information from?

I'm interested too. My Isuzu dealer said me you need a photocopy of the car book from the finance company and the international insurance, but it was just a phone call, not 100% sure.

I used the car book..

I was always of the understanding that you couldnt take a financed car out of Thailand, they hold the book, they dont want you to export it, and I am sure they dont like the idea of it driving around uninsured or with unknown levels of insurance.
