Hi Everyone,

I am arriving in Chiang Mai this Saturday and need to find someone that can make repairs to a leather waistcoat, or even better make a new tailored waistcoat.

If anyone can recommend a tailor who is able to supply the leather and create a tailored waistcoat, that would be fantastic.

Many Thanks

Tommy

There is a custom leather shop halfway along Sridonchai Road which runs from the south-east corner of the moat up to the Chedi. I am sure he wil be able to help with all your leather needs

His shop name is Tawood leather,a fairly prominent sign on the shop and I have used him on a few occasions before and he knows his stuff.

Coming from Changlan Rd,on the same side as the big Suriwong Book centre,200? mtrs further up

Just an endorsement for a good little business with no price variation for farang or thai,I have no association with him.

Hi All,

Found Dawood Leather Shop yesterday, it is exactly what I was looking for.

They were very helpful, understood what I wanted and were very professional.

Once again many thanks for all your help and advice.

Does anyone know any place that cleans leather in CM? I've got two leather jackets that got attacked by mildew this year, and I'd rather not smell like the reference section of an old library. I'm sure I could go and ask at the three shops named, but I'd rather see if there are any recommendations first.

Thanks in advance.

Took my jackets to Dawood Leather Craft, 300 baht each to clean and treat. That was the first shop I checked, so I don't know if the others mentioned do leather cleaning as well. All good info, though, led me to the right place.
