October 12, 200916 yr I have some papers that need my wifes' notarized signature. Where are notaries commonly available in Thailand? ie banks, Amphur, lawyers office? (easiest to deal with) What is the normal fee? BTW these are normal boilerplate bank forms for adding a name to a bank account, in English
October 12, 200916 yr It all depends where your bank is located. If perhaps in the USA, then the US Embassy is the only notary that will be recognized.
October 12, 200916 yr Yep, Had a friend here for awhile (American) that needed a notary for a Limited Power of Attorney form so his house could be sold in the U.S. He looked all over Hua Hin (even Siam legal who has offices in the States) but found nothing. He had to make the trip to the Embassy in Bangkok (minivans, hotel, fee, etc). Ridiculous, but TIT.
October 12, 200916 yr Same for Australia. The only place in Thailand that can certify documents etc. is the Australian Embassy BKK. Not even the Asutralian Consul in Chiang Mai is authorised. An 1100k round trip for me!
