The Hurt Locker

Featured Replies

Go see the Hurt Locker at the cinema or on dvd.

Rarely can I recommend a truly great movie, but this is perhaps the best films I have seen all year.

Basic premise - 39 days left for a year long tour of duty of a US Army Bomb squad unit in Iraq.

saw it during a flight on Emirates.

should add ....39 days left for a year long tour of duty of a US Army Bomb squad unit in Iraq....witha new squad leader thats hel_l bent on getting into the heat of the action.

Bought it months ago and couldn't get it to play on anythingso forgot about it. Better buy another.

Probably be a leading Oscar Contender... lot of A-list stars done Cameos in it.

Pretty intense stuff being a bomb defuser. :)

I like a good war movie as much as the next red blooded fella, but for some reason the Hurt Locker left me cold. I understand why people think its a good movie, but I just couldn't relate to the characters.

^Amazing Jing thought you would have loved this one - kind of shows you that the enemy is all around you and hard to trust anything that is going on. IED probably have killed more soldiers than actual combat - pretty amazing/powerful message.
