Which Laptop?

Featured Replies

My 2 cents, no bargains to be found in Thailand. Not sure why, I think maybe mainly imported h/ware and taxed. Like cars.

Have a look at Micromart when in the UK, or I hear there's some new fangled gubbins called the "internet" with "search engines" and so forth. It'll never catch on.

Hello, can anybody update information regarding, which laptop?

I have a freind whos looking to purchase one,but doesnt want to spend too much due to him being out in the middle of nowhere in damp conditions, plus also i'm interested in this aswell.

His minimum specs are;

hdd- 80 or 60 gb.

web camera-(he said he would like an in built one,but i was thinking if you get a problem with this you'd wish you bought it seperately?)

ram-512

At the moment,i have in mind the Compaq Presario v3000,16,990 baht,or an Acer model 4315,but i know diddly squat on this,& he's only asking me due to him being restricted to a certain part of thailand.

Also what about Ebay,as a source?

Thanks for any help.

would anyone (murkan's) buy a dell (to use internationally)? they are running some good deals.

lenovo? are these thinkpad quality?

i like asus as well.

im sketchy on the acer, but they have come a long way. compaq is the red head stepchild of hp. toshiba depends on model.

about 33k/1000$ recommendations?

I bought an Acer for 36000 Baht last month.

Acer Aspire 4520G

AMD Turion 64 x 2 dual core 2000 Mhz

2 GB Ram

nvidea 8400m g Graphics

250GB HDD, bluetooth, wireless, integrated webcam etc etc . I had my previous ACER for nearly 5 years with no problems, so it was an easy choice for me to get another ACER.

Have a look at Asus, they have a few models between 20-30k at the moment. Quality is ok (much better than Acer IMHO).
