My sister ran a pub and often went to the ATM with me, took out my reward for occasionally assisting behind the bar, and left me in town to enjoy myself on a night out...... mca Posted November 2, 2009 Share Posted November 2, 2009 I reckon I'm the only westerner in Thailand who's extended his stay through marriage at 3 separate immi offices over the years (BKK, Nong Khai, Khon Kaen) and at all 3 had his wife told "He has to bring his wife with him when making an application." to which my wife bemusedly replies "I am his wife" Still can't figure out who they think my wife is. That was by shadowing HGVs at every tollway checkpoint while on my CBR motorbike all the way across the Chao Phraya river Rama III bridge.
