Contract, But No Car.

Featured Replies

24th of September I sighn a contract on a new Nissan Navara Calibre 4x2 auto. This was a Limited Version, only 200 build. I want the car to morrow, when I return from work offshore. 3 days ago, they phone my wife, and tell her "solly, no car". They had non left of this model. I thold the manager the day I order the car, that he must order it ASAP, so I'm sure to get it. No ploblem he say. 2 weeks ago, they had a similar car for some show. My wife ask if this was our car, but they say no, but will come soon. This is the dealer in Krabi. I don't know what to do, but I like to take this matter as far as I can. What likly happen, is that some Thai friend of the manager get the car instead of me.

Is it worth the trouble to take this further, or is this another TiT thing?

Cheapest option, your wife contact Nissan Thailand head office, and take it from there.

If you don't mind pay a Lawyer, have him call/fax head office, and say you will sue them for broken contract.

Even better - take it to main head office in Japan. They might see stricter on a case, where a Thai dealership broke a contract.

I had a consumer problem here in los, and complained it to head office in Taiwan. I got help.

Will it give you "the car" ? Your guess is a good as mine. I guess TIT.

Strange that they needed 10 days to tell your wife the bad news. Guess there is another happy car owner.

And a happy salesperson with a few extra Baht in the pocket :)

"solly, no car". "No ploblem he say"

Chinese was he? :)

Usually for them (chinese style), i guess they know in the begin thet they don't have car in stock, but they "grab" the deposit first, so you are "locked" and they know you will not change your mind to buy another brand. It's not only with the cars, everywhere the same. But i guess you will get the car. You'll see they sell houses and condos, they not even built yet and sometime customers pay deposit and never get the house or the condo.
