macanello Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 If anyone has nothing to do this Sunday (15th November) The Bangkok Vets League is having Its annual world Cup Competition at Harrow International School. http://www.harrowschool.ac.th/ Therer are 18 teams competing this year, including a woman's team from Japan. Players will be kitted out in their Nation's strip and are asked to come to the venue in National costume. This is a friendly affair and could do with some more vocal support from the foreign community here in Thailand. So if you are short on things to do this weekend come and see France vs England or Scotland vs Thailand See u there Macanello
Jockstar Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Is it for charity? The reason i ask. A few years back we done something similar at Pattana School at the last World Cup. Thai, European, Japanese, British, Americas and the rest of the world if i remember cortectly. It was organised by myself, Derek from The Winking Frog and Tommy. A great and for a great cause. Hope it goes well for you either way mate.
macanello Posted November 13, 2009 Author Posted November 13, 2009 Cheers, JS, No replies to the thread though. It's such a pity that people don't get involved a bit more here. There will be around 200 people at Harrow tomorrow plus their families and we don't have any food stalls at all over there. We did have Big John there once but he sort of screwed it up. So. if anyone would like to take the initiative here I'm sure there is a profit to be made in catering for this hungry lot. Grazie Macanello
Jockstar Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Derek used to provide food at the Vets games quite often. Maybe one of the pub landlords would be willing to do it. BTW Derek done it for free.

Grazie Macanello Sorry mate, I am away this week -although have been hounded to play -but up in the boonies this weekend. Should be a good afternoon out, last week for the Cricket Sixes we had Bully's provide food. The other option is ask Mike (Man City Fan), I believe he has one of those great FO BBQ's, so he may help with it.
