Where To Get Epoxy Resin And Silicone For Molding (hobby Use, Not Industrial)

Featured Replies

I'm thinking about making some epoxy parts and I'm looking for a place that sells the resing, silicone for making molds and other necessary things for the process. Looking around internet I've only saw websites for industrial supply companies and the like, I only want to make small, home made things so I don't fancy buying a 200L drum of resin... :)

The type of resin I'm looking after would for casting into a mold, shoulb be a hard and strong when set, not rubbery or too brittle, perhaps I'd reinforce the parts with chopped fiberglass or carbon fiber.

Is there any hobby shop or store that may have what I need?

Hi Alec

In Ocean Marina just past Pattaya the main chandlers sell in small quantities at a reasonable price. Also Chopped strand mat and multi directional cloth. They have West Sytems in stock and also Thai epoxy which is about 30% cheaper.

Good luck

OooK, Pattaya, a bit far but if there aren't other options I'll have to give it a try.

I've found a place in Bangkok that seems to have epoxy resin AllArtStore.com, but I'll have to go there and see if it is suitable for what I want to do.

I was thinking that maybe someone knows where to get molding machinable wax, it's used among other things in doing jewelry molds, and since there are many foreigners with jewel making businesses I thought some may know where to get it.
