My son has a quite new Nokia 5800. When his battery runs down and the phone switches off the time counter stops and continues from the time when it switched off only when the charger is plugged in, resulting in a difference of time.

I did Google but only found that this model has a firmware issue which results in loss of time of 30sec per day.

Does anybody know if this is a typical issue with this model or is it only my son's phone, which would mean a trip to Nokia service center?

If you have Nokia Suite installed on your computer, the option to check and update the phone's software works well. Backup the phone data and follow their instructions.
