Losing Your Airport Short Term Parking Ticket

Featured Replies

Does anyone know what the penalty is if you lose the ticket given to you when you enter the general / short term airport parking area (the one connected by a foot bridge)? I presume when exiting, they would charge you the full day rate (250 baht) since you can't show evidence of how long you've been there. At the same time though, I guess that could work both ways. Someone could park there for 3 weeks and say they lost their ticket, only to be charged for only one day . Does anyone have any experience with this?

Only experience I had was when the machine couldn't read the card and they asked me how many days I'd been there and they beleived my answer.

In Phuket they take a walk on the parking lot and note the number plates of the car parked overnight. If your ticket is "lost", they have an accurate record of your parking time...

Working for the airlines out of BKK, I sometimes drive my car and park in the short term parking. They know exactly how long you park as it is recorded on the machine and they walk around and record the registrations of the cars.

I've lost my ticket once and paid a lost ticket fee and the rate I owed. I also could not remember where I parked once and they were very quickly able to tell me where it was by looking in the computer and a handwritten notebook that the security keep.
