My body urgently need some Bassett's Liquorice Allsorts and Bassett's Wine Gums. I have found them at some airport tax free shops in Asia before, but never in Thailand.

Anyone here also addicted to Bassett's and can give a hint where to find it in Thailand?

Don't know Bassett's but Thai seem to equate the smell of liquorice to what many westerners feel about duran (WC fodder).  Good luck.  I have to get my liquorice fix on trips home.

once saw maynards wine gums (in my opinion, a superior product to bassets, although their allsorts are unbeatable) at one of the border markets, on the burmese border, mae sot i think it was, went into max drool salivation mode and had to buy a packet, but after opening them i was immediately plunged into a deep depression. they had suffered badly in the climate and had agglommerated into one large sticky mass. i was almost in tears. they were unsalvageable.

so near to heaven, yet so far away.

eventually found solace in a packet of malaysian custard cremes and a fake benson and hedges ciggie.

i know this doesn't answer your question, but at least you know you are not alone in your torment.

there are lots of us out there.

one day at a time , i think they say.
