The PPT White Sand Beach Jet Ski King’s Cup Grand Prix 2009 was held over the Kings birthday weekend in the waters off Jomtien Beach, Pattaya. The feature event was the Pro Seated Jet Ski 1800cc race.

Pattaya, the 7th of December 2009 [PDN]: This year's Kings Cup saw 50 teams of competitors take part in the popular annual event at Jomtien Beach. The racing action commenced on the 4th of December and was completed on the 6th. This year, 32 countries from all over the world took part, trying to win a share of over 5 million baht worth of prizes. The following are the categories and results for the tournament.

Professional Classes;

- Pro Freestyle Class: Previous champion Stephane Duriat from France won the event whilst the Russian competitor Phothanin Evan successfully completed 4 summersaults with his jet ski, beating the Japanese competitor..

- Pro Standing Jet ski: Two Thai competitors won categories in this event, they were Mr. Theera Sedthura and Mr. Suphadet Tharnsai. Stephene Duriat leads the current Kings Cup World Grand Prix whilst Kevin Letterler, previous champion and American championship winner finished second. Third place went to Masaharu Takenoshita.

- Pro Jet Ski Sport & Pro Seated Jet Ski 800cc: Theera Sedthura and Suphadet Tharnsai both from Thailand won their respective events. Winning their forth championship in the category.

- Pro Jet Ski 1800cc: After 3 false starts and accident Nicolas Louis won the championship after streaming through the field of racers from 18th place to finish third. 2nd in the championship went to Anthony Antis, who would have won had Nicolas Louis not placed on the podium. Haero Suthan Asawar from Indonesia came 3rd.

Amatuer & Novice Classes;

- Standing Pro Jet Ski: Won by Athid Wongpinta from the Flamingo team,

- Modified Pro Seated Jet Ski 1800cc: Mr. Chachanan won the event for his K45 Maima team

- Original Pro Seated Jet Ski: Also won by the K45 Maxima team, whose rider was Pradit Biree.

- Seated Jet Ski 1300cc: Udom Phongpree from the PTT Power R Team won the event

- Seated Jet Ski 800cc: Surachet Chaisiriwichian from the Motorphil team was the winner.

- The winner of the Veteran (over 40) Cup was Frank Whiterling from Germany.

The ladies Standing Jet Ski Class was won by New Zealander Kiley Helmer Aimud Saree from the Flamingo team won in Standing Jet Ski 2 Valve category and Thanaphan Phangjunan from team Singha PTT won the 1800cc Seating Jet Ski category, both of which are novice events.
