For the fourth year in a row Santa came to my small village in Kalasin Province. He walked around the village passing out candy to young and old a like, everyone had a good time. Has anyone else had Santa visit their village or is mine unique? Issangeorge.

This one is the real tomte. He is not very nice if you don't feed him properly. He stayed with us in Buriram this year without making any noise.

The one who came to Kalasin is a renegade who ran off to the US a long time ago.

In my family we ignore him. We understand that he has to make a lot of merit every Christmas.

Happy New Year to all of us here in Isaan and everywhere else.

George,,,, The only Fat Man with a White Beard who comes to our house Bearing Gifts, is me.... In fact I think you spotted that Santa buying gifts in the Plaza.... But I do have to state that every Thai who I gave Candy Canes to really loved them and most asked for more...

Happy Holidays..

Where did you get the Candy Canes in Thailand?

Villa Market in Bangkok had boxes of both the regular (large) and small ones that came from the States.... I wish that I had bought more than 1 or each, as they turned out to be Very Popular among most Thai's, both kids and adults... I have managed to keep 4 or 5 regular ones for my own consumption over the next week or two...
