December 31, 200916 yr I'll be in Ubon next month with many (10+) visiting friends/relatives from the UK. I'm not familiar with the city so where is a good place to eat that's close to the Laithong hotel that's not too fancy but not too local as to scare Thailand first timers?
December 31, 200916 yr Jum pa Hom is the closest. From Laithong - turn left and its about 100meters away on the corner by the first traffic lights. Good Thai and some western food - have wine ++. Opens 17.00. Risotto is the nearest if you turn right from the hotel, about 200 meters, on the corner by the first traffic lights. Good pizza, lasagne, and many other Italian style dishes. Cold beer and wine as well, and open all day!
December 31, 200916 yr Do they still have all those floating restaurants out on the river? Not near your hotel, but worth a trip! http://wikimapia.org/9362086/Had-Ku-Dua http://www.thaipulse.com/blog/thailand-pla...-travel-review/
