Legal Or Illegal School

Featured Replies

Here is the .doc file for those who are using the World-wide Web,

I would like to inquire whether the school Sultan Kudarat Polytechnic State College and attached with St. Robert’s International Academy located in Bangkok is legal or illegal to operate in the Kingdom. The school have the following office addresses:

Western Bangkok at 511/893 Charansanitwong 37, Bangkunsri, Bangkok-Noi, Bangkok, Thailand 10700

Phone: +66-87-087-2926

Eastern Bangkok at St. Robert's International Academy/St. Robert's Training & Management Center, Mall Inn/ Mall Avenue Apartment and Hotel, - Ground floor (beside The Mall Bangkapi), 3530 Latphrao Rd., Soi 144, Klongchan, Bangkapi 10240, Thailand.

The school operated in Bangkok for a year now. They used Sultan Kudarat Polytechnic State College name and attached with St. Robert’s International Academy located in Bangkok. Sultan Kudarat Polytechnic State College, a school in the remote area of Muslim insurgents in southern Philippines. I do not know what to do whether I enroll to their school or not so, I must ask you guys before I do so. The school has 24 foreign teachers who have studied and graduated the Education course at the school mentioned above at the heart of city of Bangkok last March 2009. The thing is that these graduated foreign teachers have used their education diploma at their present school and submitted to the office of Ministry of Education and Ministry of Labor as the requirements to teach in the Kingdom. Meaning, they all got their work permits. Right now, the school have the growing number of foreign teachers students (100 +) using their off-campus extension program scheme. The school collected 49,000 baht for each student in exchange for Education diploma. With this, I’m planning to enroll in the local university here in Bangkok but due to their reasons that my diploma if in case I graduate from Rajabaht University will not be use to apply to other countries outside Thailand and their school they claimed that it is already accredited to Ministry of Education. I just want to ask the second opinion before I enroll to their school, I just want to make sure because their school is 1 year old and the amount of money they will get from me is huge 49 K.

In this regard, I would like to ask an advice from you guys concerning my plan to advance my education in the particular school stated above. For your reference please see their website at [url="http://skpsc-bkk.page.tl/Home.//skpsc-bkk.page.tl/Home.htm[/url].

Hope you can help me.[/quote

If the school is providing work permits to its teachers under its own name then it is registered in Thailand. You can check with the Ministry of Education to confirm this.

Hopefully some posters will have more personal information about the school.
