Hi,

I have a friend coming in this Saturday at 11:59 PM and he is going to be staying near Sala Daeng BTS.He is on a budget and would like to find the cheapest transportation possible. Any ideas?

Thanks.

One of the airport buses must go to the Silom area, just look for the white buses with "airport express" written on them. I think they are less than 200 Baht. Make sure to let them know where you want to go, the bus driver may or may not let you know when you are there (it helps if you know the area so you can recognize when you get there). It takes a while, but it is usable.

Having just done this trip at the same time -- your friend will miss he last bus , by about an hour.

MY taxi was 280 on the meter, plus aot fee, plus highway toll, no traffic.

cheaper option would be shuttle bus to bus terminal (free), then bus to the city about 60 baht at 130 am , then a taxi.
