Iam seeking some advice. I used to teach in Thailand about four years ago and at the time most vacancies were posted on the Ajarn website. I was just wondering if this is still the case, where schools still post their adds or do they use another website??

Many jobs are still posted on Ajarn, and of course there is the ubiquitous Google!

I think that employers are, or soon will be, migrating away from the original "ajarn.com". A website can either have a reputable, professional appearing jobs board, or can have a jobs board attached to a discussion forum about bargirls and prostitutes. It should come as no surprise to anyone that Thai employers prefer not to post their job vacancies on this latter type. A disclaimer that the two sites are linked in name only just brings smiles and chuckles from all who see it.

The jobs board is connected to ajarn.com and not the forum. The forum has a different URL with a link from ajarn.com. They are run by different people. The forum is still probably the most popular discussion forum for teachers in SE Asia on the Internet. I think in 'The Pub' area of the forum a range of topics, not associated with teaching but often associated with Thailand, is discussed.

Just a reminder not to post direct links to other sites, with the exception of sites such as official government sites.
