Has anyone been to this new Mall ? Is it interesting ?

I am told there is a new shopping mall there and during my last visit I visited a Mall that appears quite new too just opposite or beside the Wat Hualampong, is it the same one ?

Can I walk to this place from MBK or the River City Complex ?

Is there any thing interesting along Th Phayathai between MBK & Samyan MRT and along Th Si Phraya between River City Complex and Samyan MRT ?

think you mean CHAMCHUREE place-opened over 1 year ago. Its mainly office-DTAC mobuy-with some 3-4 floors of shopping. 1=ground floor mainly foodcourt-upmarket, many bookhops aimed at Chula-uni-students, who also seem to use it as a nice, free AC studyroom. A Tesco (supermarket only-no nonfood) has recently also opened its non-doors. When the thing opened they made a big blow of a new LOFT-as in Siam Centre-but for myself I've never seen much of any interest there.

See no reason to go out of your way. Of course you can walk-can also take taxi, or bus, or wait for a free bus, or use combo BTS+MRT-up to you. while this big city has well over 100 malls (including the 5 or 6 real MALL as a deptmt. store chain), some 90 out of those are completely interchangeable with about the very same contents.

The BMA launched some plans a few month ago to link these 2 MRT=BTS stations with the Chula uni in between with a Singapore-style monorel. This as the new Patumwan Khet samnakkarn=district office will also move over to there-no Thai can imagine your faithful civil servants and governers to walk for more as 5mtrs of course.
