he's gonna build you a house patsy. and buy you a car. and cure your sick buffalo! Awesome! patsy has a back up hubby! :)

Totally agree with the OP. It's an ego thing.

But it's not only forum posters. I just had a chop at an article in the PG (in the Phuket>News sub-forum) where the reporter arrogantly pooh poohs opponents to the implementation of paying for plastic bags at super/mini-markets and foists his/her own views upon the readership with no attempt whatsoever to provide a balanced article. Moreover, she/he goes on to try to provide evidence of his/her position without realising that in the process of doing so, she/he is proving the futility of such a policy.

Hey :D You accepted my unromantic back-up proposal. Cool!!!

That means we are back-up affianced.

Sure....ALL my money. It's a negative total though. But I'm happy to share the burden. :)

Hey, don't rush into this Harcourt, check her assets, income, future prospects, dowry offer, and most importantly, her attitude towards mia noi. :)

Well, I know her kitchen is too small for a microwave.....

Anyway, as my nuptial advisor and broker, I expect that YOU will sort all that out in the pre-nup.

I'm quite a catch, and the dowry should reflect this....also, I sadly suspect that she won't be wearing white at the wedding.....the dowry should reflect this too.

Yesss.... I suppose the ceremonial displaying of the marriage bed sheets out of the window could be bypassed for a consideration.

Funny you should mention that...my marriage in Fiji to the Tuvaluan beauty had exactly that event the next morning.....not out the window, but displayed by her mum to the rest of the village women in the house.

Mein Gott... I always thought that Pacific Island girls had to have 47 lovers before they were allowed to get married.

Another Hollywood generated illusion shattered...

No, it's got something to do with the Shakespearian "two backed beast".

My favoured animal........ grrrrrrrrrr

Gawd, this Harcourt romance thing is taking over all the threads - even challenging the ongoing sagas involving Kayo and his various liaisons. (BTW, the Klown doesn't seem to be about much these days. Perhaps he's finally been tamed?) Anyway (as I should have said to Pete in his engagement thread), love it or leave it... to coin a phrase.

I think Kayo was more of a love it AND leave it man.

To coin a phrase....
