L33tsp33k Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Anyone know of a good place to get a leg massage, deep tissue, or swedish massage? Having some sports related pain l would like to get worked out. Thanks!
aureate Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I know a masseuse who might be what you're looking for but she only does call outs. She specializes in Swedish massages and trigger point therapy. Most of her clients are Muay Thai-ers and Boxers. BUT she's not that kind of a masseuse. Have to make that part clear because.... well, this is Thailand.
montrii Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 The kind of massage you're looking for here, in the Thai style, would be called นวดจับเส้น (nuat jap sen, or "grab nerve/tendon massage"). I've had work done on my forearm for tendonitis, and it worked amazingly well. A lot of the workers in the ordinary massage places are trained to do this, but you have to ask for it--if they can't do it, they can usually direct you to someone who will. I know one woman who accepts clients by appointment only, because her book is so full, she is a great healer, but the place is a little hard to get to, back in the sois between Phrom Phong and Thonglor. PM me if you need phone and direction.
