Passport Requirement By Airline

Featured Replies

Hi wondered if anyone can advise on this, I assume I shall have to obtain official confirmation from airline, but does anyone have experience of using 2 passports whilst travelling,,,,, I have my current passport with me in thailand but my company hold my second passport, they plan to send my second passport from UK to address in thailand with a new work visa entered on it allowing me to work in another country , thereafter they plan to send me my flight details for travelling to that country, as I have entered thailand on my passport that I hold with me, obviously I must exit thailand on that same passport,,, as the flight carrier may refuse me travel unless I produce information stating I can enter that country for work, I must therefore show them my second passport (the one sent by company) at check in, thereafter whilst passing through passport control in bkk show the(current) passport to them, I shall be flying via dubai en route to final destination for work, does anyone have experience of this.

thanks

Airlines are aware that some people have two passports. Normally it is of two different countries, but two passports from the same country is not that rare. They might want to talk to a supervisor if they haven't dealt with it before, but you will be OK.

At checkin you present both passports, at immigration only the one you entered Thailand with.
