Creepy Man In The Soi

Featured Replies

Assuming the man is 'a few bricks short of a picnic', there are many around, attempting to deal with it in a normal fashion will fail. Does he have family (carer?) that lets him roam free? Getting your Thai speaker to explain the problem. I have read before about action you are allowed to take when someone is venturing into your property, but difficult to justify shooting someone for sitting in your garden.

At a wedding last year there was a deranged drunk that took a shine to me, mostly grabbing my arm and shouting 'farang', I was unsure who's side of the family he was so refrained from punching him after the Nth time, when I borrowed a relative's (police) handcuffs and squared up to the man, those that were watching realized that I had had enough and it would be better that he was taken away.

The lesson is that often Thai's will prefer to do nothing as it is less effort and causes less 'face' to be lost, when the situation changes and the stakes are raised it becomes easier to take the loony away than deal with a farang chasing him with a hose and throwing fireworks.

Just go and buy a large box of firecrackers to send the message that if no one else it doing anything you are taking steps.

Keep a camera to hand - should be fun.

When I used to stay in the Buri Ram village of an ex of mine, one of the yokels used to come around to watch me eat.

Only to eat. He'd turn up just as I was about to start eating and leave as soon as I had finished eating, keeping his eyes fixated on me all the time and even moving should anybody block his view of me.

It really is quite disturbing having somebody make a point of watching you eat each day.

Cuban,

This guy lives on his own (unless he has a prisoner in his basement) and drives himself to and from work, hes just a weirdo. For some reason the other half thinks he is a teacher, but isnt sure and I am dam_n certain you wouldnt want this guy near any children.

Anyway, he knows im onto him and hasnt been near the fence in the last couple of nights, so i will wait and see what he does before i string him upto a tree, by the neck.

Moonrakers, you are right, being stared at can be an uncomfortable thing.

I think he may have wanted a taste of white man. He was waiting for you to give him the eye.

Ian.

You look like an action man in that picture. Do you have a little lever/switch in the back of your head that when moved makes your eyes move left and right?

i like my privacy as well and if i had your problem the first thing i would do is buy some fast growing bamboo it will obstruct the outside view quickly.

bamboo does grow fast but a tap on his skull with some hard object works faster :)

At times I wonder if there IS some strange lever in my head that concocts the stuff I come out with. I won't make fun of anyone else, but I enjoy making fun of myself. I play around with Adobe Photoshop to see what it can do, and I have so many photos of so many things that it's like a game. For example, I took the fur off of a grizzly bear photo I had with cut and paste and then placed it on a sleeping elephant to create the wooly mammoth. Then I had to free draw the tusks. I replaced my rifle with a hand drawn spear. With my head shot I just sqeezed my head together and moved my eyes and the pupils around. Then gave myself a purple nose. If you are creative there is no end to the things you can do if you want to spend the time.

  • 2 weeks later...

I would try and get some photos of this guy peeping (without him knowing) just in case it escalates into anything more serious and you need evidence for the police later.

I was going to suggest photographing him in plain sight to frighten him away but he might just get the idea to bring a camera along the next time he peeps at you.

...............

That's not silly.

Not silly at all, but if Mrs Neverdie is in the house on her own. Frightening. I like having neighbours upstairs (I live in a flat) and friends nearby.

And I have an attackat.

:D

but i think its a good idea.

He was actually up to his old tricks this afternoon and I shot out into the yard like a shot out of a cannon and asked him what he wanted. To my surprise he replied that he's had his eyes on my bags of horseshit stacked at the side of my yard and wanted to know if I would give him some. FEKKIN weirdo. I told him if he kept peering into the yard at all hours of the day and night, id bury the prick in the horseshit.......he left & as he did he commented to Mrs Neverdie that I wasnt very pleasant. :D

I will now wait to see what he does next, slimey little man :)

Ohh and he confused me when he spoke, he used words I'd never heard before......which really makes it hard to fire back a reply :D .....which is one of my main reasons to resorting to the knock around terminology for "Piss off".

I'd like to get some photographs of him at night time when hes lurking around with no shirt on..... If i do, I'll post them on a couple of gay online sites, with his address and request that someone come around and take him forcably....because thats the way he likes it :D:D

I would imagine you might become one of his targets, he definately has a thing for myself & MRT and a few others.....he was whinging about a 200 baht ticket that got left on his scooter in Patong or Pattaya or where ever it was, then the other day via a PM he told me that I'm just jealous of him because he's living the life of luxury in Thailand :D . I was going to mention to him that the life of luxury and motor scooters don't really go together.....but I just couldnt be bothered with him, he already knows EVERYTHING. :)

Yes sir, there most certainly & they are well aware of him (apparently).

Anyway, I havent seen him for days, seems like the cowshit afternoon may have concerned him a little bit, either that or he's shopping around for a sniper rifle in order to knock me off with, mai pben rai.
