Are Certain Terrorists More Equal Than Others?

Featured Replies

my ethiopian Muslim driver sent me this link:

Here's another one of your feeble attempts at wit. I had posted in the past about the views and comments made to me by my Ethiopian driver in Dubai about Islam. Not all of posters here have lived in the ME so maybe the view from a regular person there would have some interest. But you - unable to refute anything my driver or other Muslim colleagues told me - choose to ridicule them instead to discredit them as a source. Could be that you still believe that some people are more superior to others? That the views of people such as African taxi drivers about Islam aren't as worthy as that of a European allegedly with many degrees?

Another in a long list :D

I wish that once in a while posters would look on the positive side of things in this forum. Obviously whatever Naam lacks in wit by your standards, he makes up in astute observations. I wouldn't likely remember that you had an Ethiopian Muslim driver.

I bet he's also really quick at counting dropped toothpicks. :)

Some terrorists are going to be members of Parliament here shortly, thanks to the party-list system.

If you had bashed someone about it for 20 posts, you likely would have remembered it too. :D

That's incredible! Wherever "here" is, I am suprised that the terrorists have not been arrested.

Maybe he's in Iraq?

mea culpa! i repent and will refer in future what my wife's Thai Buddhist driver told her, even if his stories are as, or more ridiculous than the tales of the Ethiopan Muslim driver.

and in case anybody is interested in the religious and/or political views of our Hindu gardener, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks Naam, but I think we will take a pass for now. Unless, of course, they have intimate contact with terrorists, in which case, there will be many questions.

Could be. Iraq uses the party list system. So does Israel, so maybe Israel.

You can't watch, no you can't eat, you ain't supposed to be here

And the sign says "You got to have a membership card to get inside" - uh! ;)

Well said 'hardcout' #10, the real terrorists are the ones pushing the buttons, not pulling the trigger. As for who is a freedom fighter and who is the terrorist… Afghanistan is a case in point! 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend'…………..It's ironic, the CIA supported, funded, tucked in bed at night…and even read them bed time stories. They hand reared the number 1 terrorist network in the world today……Not all bad though for the 'free world governments of the world' it gave them a free hand to smother civil liberties. The so called freeworld governments love terrorists, best thing that's ever happened for them, shame about the rest of us!

We aided and supplied the USSR as well in WWII. Before WWII the Soviets let Hitler's military train on their territory. The list goes on. Most people have been friends at one time with people they don't like now. To think somehow that nations are above it is wishful thinking at best.

Koheesti - you keep saying 'we' did this, 'we' did that.

Not true! It's the damned politicians who did it, usually without our consent.

For instance, at the moment the UK and France are bombing seven sorts of shit out of the people of Tripoli, Libya. This is the clever idea of Sarkozy, influenced by Bernard-Henri Levy, author of War - Evil and the End of History, and followed by Camoron, the current British nobody.

Did anyone in France or the UK have any say in this matter? Was it ever on any political prospectus for an election?

Nope. Just an excuse for them to throw around a little weight, show that they've still got balls (or are they M&Ms?) and let the generals play with some boys toys.

I am looking forward to the day when there will be a computer in every household, linked to a system where we have daily (maybe hourly) referenda on almost every subject under the sun, and are informed by a cross-section of news representing as many interest groups as possible.

The problem is, the information can never be trusted, as the peddlers of information often have a hidden agenda that is contrary to their public persona.

Trust no one. Least of all politicians.
