Actually, Napoleon came from Corsica and ended up on St Helena. Napoleon led from the front, Thaksin leads from as far away as he can get. Napoleon met his Waterloo, Thaksin is so chicken scared he refuses to even go near, let alone meet, his "final" battle. The similarity may be, as you say, that both die in a foreign land. That thought must be so galling for Thaksin that I hope he chokes on it every day.
