Hi All,

Can anyone advise where is the best place to purchase one of these in Bangkok, and approximately how much will it be? Trying to decide whether to buy it in farang land or wait until I am in Bangkok.

The prices look pretty good in the sites provided. You an save a few $ by buying in the US (check out Cameta Camera on ebay, for example (I have bought lots from them and always very good product/service)), but you need to be sure that it comes with an international warranty (and a 110 - 220 battery charger (my Nikon digital that I bought in the US only came with a 110v battery charger)). You might also consider looking at a D90 rather than the D3000. I think that there is a big step up in the camera, for a smaller step up in price. If you intend to keep the camera for a long time, the D90 is a better choice, I think (used cameras aren't worth much). Good luck...

Prices of 16,000 to 17,000 Baht seem very reasonable compared with prices back home in Ireland. Currently running at about 22,000 baht.
