Hello again Peeps

I am still trying to find somewhere to stay in Nongkhai while i wait for my new passport. Anybody got any ideas or know of a flat/house i could rent for 1 month, maybe with a view to stay longer, if i like the place and find a job.

Thanks for your help guys

We had several postings here about hotels and guesthouses in Nongkhai lately. There is so much, cheap and expensive. Furnished appartments and houses too. Try the Riverside Hotel or the Condominium close to Chayaphum market. Try Rimkhong road (east) where you can rent a room for a month.

Finding a job and not having a passport ? Are you looking for trouble ??

its only a renewal, and the idea was to look while i stay here. My fiancee lives in Vientiane so it makes sense to stay just over the border.

Thanks for the suggestions, and yes the riverside was an option but decided on 'Ruan Thai' guest house for only 360 a night for a 10 day stay!

cheers Kevin

Ruan Thai is OK.

Yeah suits me, the staff could be a bit more helpful. Found the cheap food stalls by the hospital....wow how cheap is it here?

Gotta conserve some money in case i have to pay overstay!!!! Passport should be back in British embassy end of next week, if not then im screwed!
